Our spring season is a casual season of play. The focus is to foster a fun and safe environment for our children to play the game of soccer while expanding their skills of the game. Games are played once per week on Sundays limiting the overall commitment placed on families with already hectic schedules. The spring season is a great venue for first time players and veterans alike.

Children are divided into three playing divisions based on age. Kidergarten, Divison 1 (1st and 2nd graders) and Division 2 (3rd and 4th graders). Our goal is to keep team roster size small and limit the number of players on the field at any given time. This promotes more ball touches during the course of play and allows coaches to focus on player development.

We offer a clinic taught by professional soccer trainers for our older players (5th - 7th graders). The clinic is divided into two parts. The first half of each session is focused on drills and soccer fundamentals. The players are then split into sides where they scrimmage for the remainder of time.

For our tiniest players we offer our Tiny Tots program. This program is designed for our preschool aged players that are just being introduced to the game of soccer. This program is also lead by a team of soccer professionals where the focus is the primary building blocks of the game.

Glen Cove Arena Taxi of Division 2B faced off against DiLeo Insurance Agency for a second time on Friday, October 5, 2012.  Arena Taxi started with Jayson Romero in goal and Matthew Basil on defense. The boys began passing immediately and with a skillful give from Jeffrey Vanegas, Christopher Gielbeda took the ball to the net. Vanegas scored two more goals, one unassisted and one assisted by Noah Kopetic. With additional support on offense, Charlie Centeno and Romero did their best in keeping possession. Jack Spoto also added to the goal tally with two goals assisted by Vanegas and Gielbeda. One of the best plays of the night included a beautiful corner kick by Basil to teammate Kopetic who shot it in the upper corner of the net. Other goalkeepers in the game were Gielbeda and Kopetic. Final score was 6-1 against DiLeo Insurance. Keep up the excellent passing. You should be proud of all your teamwork Arena Taxi!
