Spring Intramural Soccer

The GCJSL spring intramural season typically runs from the beginning of April through mid June. Our spring season is a casual season of play. The focus is to foster a fun and safe environment for our children to play the game of soccer while expanding their skills of the game. Games are played once per week on Sundays limiting the overall commitment placed on families with already hectic schedules. The spring season is a great venue for first time players and veterans alike.

Children are divided into three playing divisions based on age. Kidergarten, Divison 1 (1st and 2nd graders) and Division 2 (3rd and 4th graders). Our goal is to keep team roster size small and limit the number of players on the field at any given time. This promotes more ball touches during the course of play and allows coaches to focus on player development.

We offer a clinic taught by professional soccer trainers for our older players (5th - 7th graders). The clinic is divided into two parts. The first half of each session is focused on drills and soccer fundamentals. The players are then split into sides where they scrimmage for the remainder of time.

For our tiniest players we offer our Tiny Tots program. This program is designed for our preschool aged players that are just being introduced to the game of soccer. This program is also lead by a team of soccer professionals where the focus is the primary building blocks of the game.
