Summer Soccer Camps

July 13th through July 17th and/or Aug. 10th through Aug. 14th, 2009

9 AM to 1 PM at City Stadium - Morris Avenue

REASONABLY PRICED: $125.00 for each player per week and a $10 discount for additional family members.

HIGH-LEVEL INSTRUCTION/ROLE MODELS-Staff, which relates well with players, now includes teachers from our local schools who are coaching soccer at the High School level as well as advanced college players who have all played in our league. All coaches have a coaching license and have gone through the risk management screening.

IDEAL RATIOS-Coach to player ratio is typically 1 coach to 8-9 players.

IDEAL DIVISIONS-Players are broken down by 2-year age groups and by gender when possible. Friends, teams kept together.

ABOUT THE STAFF -Our League has trained many of these advanced players to become coaches and role models for our new generation of players. We provide your youngsters with the opportunity to learn more about the game. We allow them  to work closely with someone who knows the game, where the game can lead them and what is necessary to be successful.

TAILOR MADE-Our camp curriculum is designed to allow our coaches to adjust the skills depending on the player’s age and abilities.

CAMP PHILOSOPHY-Our camps are based on the idea that soccer must be a fun experience as well as developmental. Sportsmanship as well as competitiveness must be part of the game. Using our new updated curriculum, our program is designed to meet the needs of players at various levels of ability. Very strong emphasis is placed on the development of skills and their application in game related situations. The use of small-sided games ensures full participation by each player.

The Spring Intramural season is underway....

Tiny Tots - The Glen Cove Tiny Tot program is a weekly instructional clinic designed to teach your child the skills of the game of soccer in a non competitive atmosphere.  Professional coaches will work  with your child.  Players born in years 2004 & 2005 are eligible to play who are entering a kindergarten program in the fall.  Players are eligible who did not play in the fall kindergarten program.  Games are on Sundays at 11:30am or at 12:30pm, April 19 – June 14 (except Memorial Day weekend). The fee is $85.00.

Spring Intramural League - The Glen Cove Spring Soccer League are weekly games for players in kindergarten thru fourth-grade.  Boys & girls in kindergarten and first-grade play together at 11:30am or 12:30am or at 1:30pm.  Boys & girls in second, third, and fourth-grades play games together at 11:30am or 12:30am or at 1:30pm.  Games are on Sunday, April 19 – June 14 (except Memorial Day weekend).  The fee is $85.00.

Spring Soccer Clinic - The Glen Cove Junior Soccer League’s spring soccer clinic is open to boys and girls in fifth-grade, sixth-grade and seventh-grade.  The clinic will meet on Sundays, April 19^th to June 14^th, from 1:30pm to 3:00pm.  The program will not meet on Memorial Day weekend.  The program will consist of instruction, drills, and scrimmages, all taught by the professional instructors of All Soccer Training.  The fee is $90.00.
